The SKYe Five November 7th -21st

We here at Skye Magazine like to take a few moments and profess what we have loved over the past weeks. So here it is. This is the definitive list of the top five things for last week and the top five things for this week.

Things From Last Week:

- Thursday: The song “In One Ear” by Cage The Elephant was featured on “Beavis And Butthead,” with full commentary from Beavis and Butthead. We all know what “Cage The Elephant” really means.

- Friday: WKU Topper basketball lost its season opener 72-61 against St. Joseph.

- Saturday: Lost River Cavemen put on a great concert at Tidball’s.

- Saturday: Michael J. Fox, hosted his annual charity benefit on Saturday night. Called A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's, the event in New York City and took to the stage performing “Johnny Be Goode” as he famously did in the 1985 classic, Back To The Future.

- Sunday: Hit television show, Family Guy aired an episode that may have crossed a few lines with some Americans. Which subsequently involved Stewie and Brian being able to stop the 9/11 terrorists attacks by going back in time, but didn’t because the result caused a civil war and the total destruction of America. Has this show gone too far or should this be allowed?

 Things For This Week:

Monday: It was announced that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sold $400 million in copies in a single day, making it the single biggest currency-for-entertainment exchange in the history of pop culture.

Tuesday: The video game that put Xbox on the map, Halo: Combat Evolved is being re-released in an Anniversary Edition that you can play on your Xbox 360. Some grab the Mtn. Dew and Doritos, because it is going to be a long night.
